Location
Hara Village, Lahemaa National Park
Our lovely little houses are located in Northern Estonia, in Kuusalu municipality, Hara village, approximately 65 km from Tallinn.
It is a beautiful natural location situated in the territory of Lahemaa National Park. A stream flows past near the houses, the sea is within walking distance, and 1.5 km away is Lohja Lake, which is ideally suited for swimming.
The sheep bustling around the houses and the beautiful forest add to the rural feeling. Those who wish to step away from the silence and birdsong for a while can enjoy nearby theater performances in summer, check out Hara Harbour museum and restaurants, or visit Viinistu restaurant. 3 km away you'll also find the Loksa grocery store for basic needs.
Hara village and the Lohja stream
Hara is a small coastal village on Estonia's northern shore, with roots reaching back to the Middle Ages. Over time it grew into a fishing community whose traces are still felt today. Hara Harbor and the local sea culture have long been the heart of life here. Only a few dozen permanent residents live in the village now, and its status inside Lahemaa National Park keeps the place authentically quiet and well-tended.
The Lohja stream, which gives our houses their name, flows right past the property on its way to the sea. The stream springs from Lohja Lake, a small but deep and crystal-clear lake 1.5 km away, an easy walk for our guests. In summer it is an ideal swimming spot; in winter, a calm view into a snow-covered forest.
